You’re driving along, thinking of happy times spent with your favorite aunt who recently passed away.  At that same moment, you hear Patsy Cline begin to croon her favorite song; “Crazy”, on the car radio...Coincidence?

There is no such thing as a coincidence.

Those that we love and who have passed on to their celestial home, are fond of giving loved ones a sign; beautiful confirmations that they are fine, whole, and at peace.  Signs that they haven’t forgotten us and that they know we’ve not forgotten them.

Because angels and spirit guides are equally happy to remind us that we are never alone, they will always give me a “sign” to pass along to someone who has come to me for a psychic reading.  Angels seem to be particularly fond of giving signs in the form of flowers.  Recently, I gave a reading for a woman whose angel introduced herself as Astria.  During the course of the reading, Astria went on to tell me that she would give my client a sign in the form of a yellow rose as confirmation that she was with her.  The following Sunday, my client began attending a new church.  Although she was a bit nervous upon entering her new house of worship, where she knew not a soul, she was quickly put at ease when the greeter handed her a beautiful and fragrant yellow rose.  She thanked Astria for accompanying her to her new church and reveled in the knowledge that the Creator has given her a special companion on her Life Journey.  A yellow rose continues to be a symbol of confirmation and divine love between my client and her heavenly friend.

Ever wonder why you’ve been always been attracted to a particular animal such as a hawk, and wonder why a hawk always seems to show up at an important occasion in your life or when you feel you need guidance?  This totem animal is a harbinger of many signs.  Hawk represents flight and freedom.  He speaks to you of seeing clearly and soaring to new heights.  Hawk reminds you of your infinite potential to rise above the mundane and sail among the stars.  He is a sign that anything is possible.  Hawk is a protector.  Years ago my family lived in a home adjacent to our church.  When my son was four years old he asked me if he could ride across the church parking lot on his new bike all by himself.  As I thought about my son and his quest for the freedom that comes with a new bike, a beautiful brown hawk rose up from woods behind the church and perched on the phone line directly above us.  Knowing that Hawk would protect him, I agreed to let him make the grand journey from our driveway to the other side of the church lot.  As my little adventurer began to pedal away, the regal hawk took leave of the phone wire and flew directly above him until they both came to rest at the opposite end of the church property.  After waving to me and giving me the triumphant thumbs up sign, Dane and his hawk companion made the journey home.  As hawk again perched on the phone wire above our heads, I thanked him for protecting and guiding my little man.  To this day, hawk shows up in Dane’s life as a positive confirmation and reminder of his unlimited potential.  Most recently he showed up as a Black Hawk Warrior on his hockey jersey!
Reading the signs along the way requires us to stop and take a deep breath.  To look beyond the earthly and seek divine meaning.  To realize that encountering a rainbow may represent brighter days ahead; and to understand that a butterfly may cross our path to remind us to lighten up.

When you ask for a sign one will be given.  Look not only with your eyes, but also with your heart and ears.  Remember to give thanks for signs that are given.  Even totem animals appreciate being appreciated!  Most of all, bask in the knowledge that Spirit speaks to us in many ways and appears to us in many forms.  We are truly never alone.

Blessings on the Journey,
Denise
P.S.  “Thank you, Auntie, I love you, too.”
