“The greatest discovery of any generation is that human beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind.
-Albert Schweitzer

When was the last time you said “I love you”, and meant it?  To yourself, that is!

A positive affirmation a day keep the gloomies away.  They also help to break through old thought patterns that we’ve kept stored away in our library of outdated belief systems.  Reciting a personal mantra each morning is also a great way to set the tone for the day ahead.  There are several ways of doing this, and each one of them works wonders.

The Note on the Bathroom Mirror Technique:  Write your favorite affirmation(s) on a slip of paper and stick it to the bathroom mirror.  This way you see it each morning as you brush your teeth and comb your hair.  Recite the mantra to yourself three consecutive times each day.

A Box of Positive Intentions:  Create your own affirmation box and fill it with slips of paper containing your favorite positive intentions and spiritual quotes.  Each morning draw one affirmation at random and recite it three times.  You can purchase a fancy gift box in a store or dress up an old shoe box with photos, beads and glitter!  Remember to be your Creative Self when you design your box.  Ask your angels to help.  They love to be creative!

Gratitude List:  Make a list of the things you are grateful for:  These could be the names of special people in your life, the positive qualities that you possess, the things you have,  or the wonderful things that you have done in your life.  Post this list on your refrigerator, your bathroom mirror or any other place where you will see it often.  The Gratitude List is a wonderful reminder of the good fortune you have in your life.

The Wisdom Wall:  Both of my children have a positive affirmation mantra hanging on the wall next to their  bedroom door.  I created these mantras, added computer graphics and had them laminated.  Each day before going to school or going to bed at night, they recite their personal mantra.  Here is an example:

                                    I AM Beautiful and Happy.
                                    I AM Creative and Kind.
I AM the Best Student I Can Be.
I AM the Best Sister I Can Be.
I AM the Best Daughter I Can Be.
                                    I AM LOVED
                                    I AM Love.

Here are some positive affirmations you may wish to use:

   * The Light of the Creator Shines in Me and Through Me.  I Am a Reflection of Love.
   * I Release the Negativity of the Past to Live Fully Present in the Now.
      Now is all there is.
   * I Am a Child of the Light.  I Live in the Light.  I Am the Light.
   * I Am Peaceful.  My Life Flows with Ease.
   * I Am Creative.  I Am Creating A Life of Love and Abundance.
   * I Am Strong and Healthy.  My Body is the Temple of My Spirit.
   * I Radiate Love and I Receive Love in Return.
   * I Listen to the Voice of My Higher Self and Welcome the Wisdom from Within.

Blessings,

Denise

Thoughts are Powerful

“The greatest force in the human body is the natural drive of the body to heal itself—but that force is not independent of the belief system, which can translate expectations into physiological change.  Nothing is more wondrous about the fifteen billion neurons in the human brain than their ability to convert thoughts, hopes, ideas and attitudes into chemical substances.  Everything begins, therefore, with belief.  What we believe is the most powerful option of all.”
